I would say our D was a combo of NY and Balt. Our DB's were more Giant-like and probably the front four, too. Our LB's were a little more Raven-like.
It matters not to me, I can deal with Del Rio leaving, then our D gets to become more Mills-like!

our D is a hybrid of both... but there are John Fox fingerprints all over it... for example the effort they used to take attention off the D-Backs and more on the D-Line... Fox has been known to make a Defenses weaknesses look smaller by playing stronger on their positives... in turn that built confidence in the D-Backsand their game improved as well

don't care. Most of these guys are family guys. And moves like this are all but against the rules now. Some guys can and have been let go for promotions, like Del Rio, but that's been very rare lately.

I want Del Rio to stay and all, but I have a real issue with such a speedy rise to the top of a HC spot when there are other coaches that have put in their dues and are well deserving but are not even getting the interviews.

It depends. As I understand it, one team cannot stop (or ask compensation for) their coaches from moving from one team to another as long as the move is considered a promotion and not a lateral move.

BTW, the only way in hell I'd know this is because there's been a lot of talk here in DC on this subject. The Skins fans are wondering why the Skins got ZERO for letting Marvin Lewis walk. Since it was a promotion from Def Coord., the Skins can't ask for shit anyway. Don't know much about the Panther staff, but I would have to assume that going from - for example - a QB coach to OC or LB coach to DC would not be a lateral move.

You gotta feel a little for Fox, he hasn't had consistency at all since he's been here. Agree, this will show how good he is. Thats tough though. But hey, thats why he gets the big bucks I guess.

Doesn't matter. The new rules are that a team can block any move short of promotion to head coach. I wish it weren't - because there are plenty of assistants I'd want right about now.

No worries. It came into effect in 2001 I believe. Kept guys like Brad Childress and Greg Knapp from going and becoming coordinators somewhere else.

I have mixed feelings about the rule, to be honest. Part of coaching is eventual advancement.
