I'd really like to get a piano, I haven't played in years. But I start a new hobby every month so I can't justify it right now.

    i miss my baldwin.

i sold my piano a few months ago to a co-worker of mine who used to sit by me. she overheard me on the phone telling my mom i will be selling my piano and she asked if she can buy it from me. had it delivered to her house that same saturday that week after we worked overtime. i like her. felt better knowing it was her who has it.

she paid for the moving also. man, that thing cost her $150. to have delivered to her house. then another $100. to get tuned.

they say that one must have a piano tuned everytime it is moved. anyhoo...that was what i was told. cant really tell the diff. tho. i dont like the sound of an untuned piano. when a key is deaf, it is hella annoying.

Uh, Larry....shoulda added too or and to that statement. I've observed that the most knowledgeable musicians are, usually, pianists...except jazz tenor sax players, of course. ;)

Larry, are you going to take lessons or teach yourself?
If you decide to teach yourself, you can try going to a local music store and getting beginner books. They can be great for learning the basics.
Have fun! Playing the piano is so much fun.
(and it is a great stress reducer as well,at least for me it is)

just a bit smarter than the jazz bari players, mostly because their shoulders don't slump carrying the axe home.

we need to ge it tuned.

my only time to practice now is on weekends. kids' nap time is somewhere between 1 and 4, depending upon the day. we've got dinner that takes time to prepare and eat, so that's another 90 minutes gone. once we hit 7:30, kids are asleep. so, practice time would be saturday or sunday mornings.

actually, thanks for helping me figure this window out.
