According to kffl, the tandem to call games on the NFL Network will be Bryant Gumble and Chris Collinsworth. :banginghe :imagestor I was actually stoked that they where going to get live games, but now I'll just watch those games on mute. Hell, they couldn't have done much worse by asking Brian Baldinger (sp) to commentate.

I actually think that's a pretty good pairing.

Chris Collinsworth gets under my skin. I guess it's because he comes off like an expert and doesn't even look like a football player or maybe it's his mannerisms. Gumble, is not bad, but he not as animated as some of the other network's head color commentators. I just think NFL Network could have done better.

I like Collinsworth. Probably because he was always pulling for his hapless Bengals.

I dont care much for the Gumbles.

But does anyone know if they will be carrying the network by the time the season rolls around?

I'm guessing not, considering there are no Panthers games on the network this season. I'm thinking that if there are games the following year, there will be such an outcry by Panthers fans that a game is being broadcast, and the views won't be able to see it in the Panthers home market, that they'll be forced to add it.

thats why the nfl is even putting games on it. Other companies like disney and viacom do the same thing with their channels. Pressuring providers to pick up your network in a deal or package isn't new or hard.

That's why I was suprised that the NFL gave the sunday ticket back to the Direct Tv or whatever. The cable companies wanted it too.
