Trading down, sounds nice and theory, but you need someone to trade with. Who would be there at eight that would prompt a team in the middle of the first to trade up?

One of the OT's that are considered a 1st rounder maybe.

Otherwise, I would not trade up either

I think New Orleans needs are Edge and OT so if the best Edge guys are gone, you could see where they might want to get the 1st round grade OT

New Orleans is picking at nine and will probably have their choice between Campbell, Banks, and Simmons. Seattle is picking at 18. If New England takes a Tackle, and the Jets follow suit, then I can see any of Seattle, Chicago, or San Francisco trying to jump to eight to get the third, but that's a real long shot.

I think Banks is the only one currently with a 1st round grade. Campbell is a starter there, but some have him as an eventual guard. Simmons would be top of the class except for the injury concern that knocked him out of the season is senior year, thus his drop.

If New England takes Banks, then all possibilities are open as New Orleans and Chicago at 9 and 10 could use an OT.

This crap will have to suffice for the next couple of months for Panther fans, as always. We start looking at draft boards in November each year, haha

Sanders as a QB, is not the greatest guy for a number 1 pick.

I would be cautious if I were Tennesse and go with number 1 guy on their board and pick Dart in the 2nd to sit behind Kirk Cousins for a season. Something along those lines

Maybe take Hunter as number 1 for them.

So if Chicago wants an OT in front of New Orleans

We drop down 2 spots and switch places in the 2nd round from 57 to 41. We also give up one of our 5th rounders.

At 10, we can still get what we were going to have to pick at 8 and move well up into the 2nd round which will be very beneficial.

At 10, we might still be in play for Jalon Walker, Mykell Williams, James Pierce or Tyler Warren

Tennessee is either going to trade the pick or take Hunter. If Carter blows up the Combine, it might be him. But I think they're going to roll with Levis again and see what QB options there are in 2026. Or maybe take a flyer on one in the second round. The QBs this year just aren't great.

They should draft Dart and sit him behind Tyrod Taylor. Then when Taylor gets injured, Dart will start and look great. That's how it happens.
