Karl Hankton should be. I literally believe that he has never caught a football in his life.

With Bates out, Hankton will be needed even more on Special Teams. Hankton just shouldn't play receiver.

Speaking of cuts, I suppose no news is bad news for Pat Jeffers. Maybe he was inspired by Terrell Davis. Wasn't he supposed to be suiting up pretty soon? Action in the Friday game?

Wp - what's the cap ramifications if we cut him?

Off the top of my head he's got a prorated bonus of $800,000 and he's signed through next season. Magnus would have to confirm but I think we would owe $800k this year and the same next. his salary is $900,000 this year so his cap hit to keep him $1.7m

  6. i don't think you can cut and injured player...they have to reach an injury settlement. isn't he on the pup anyways?

Therefore with it being past June 1, the savings would be his base salary and he'd count $800,000 against both this year's and next year's cap no matter what happens.

Unless he retires and agrees to give some of the money back. If he takes this route, I believe all he returned (in signing bonus)would count as relief versus next year's cap.
