After further re-consideration, I think it's worth a good laugh to bust on Packer. He makes over $125k a year. He can take it. I'd let you all laugh about my short penis if I made that kind of money, especially if I did as little work as he does.

Besides, this is the son of Billy and employer of QCB and Heyseed we're talking about here!!!

And final proof he's a deserving candidate of our insensitivity... He's the one who never gave Hoopsradio the fair shot at FNZ and in this market that he truly deserved.

SHORT VERSION: A couple of years ago, there was a plan to move a regional sportstalk show from Birmingham (I forgot the exact name of it now . . . It centered on SEC sports/recruiting) and move it here and become a national college sportstalk show (Packman or Billy was in the process of buying the show and have it based here in Charlotte at the WFNZ Studios). Packman asked listeners to call and submit a demo tape, but Hoopsradio never sent it in (this whole debate took place at the old Sports Media board at Charlotte.com . . Even GerryV was encouraging him to send a demo in.) He reseasoned even if Hoops didn't get the job, it may open the door to another gig somewhere down the line. For whatever reason, the deal to move the show here fell thru. Hoops went on to work for some A-ball team in SoCal and Packman continued his march in becoming the local King of All Media :) . .

Did that show recently move to Tenn.?

I saw a blurb about a show that seems to be the same show. Anybody heard anything about that?

Then you get to listen to the national guys do everything possible to avoid talking about sports and try to be comedians.
