Is Redick in the top 10 players at Duke in the last 25 years?

The overhype is coming. ESPN isn't so much in the business of covering stories/sports anymore as much as it is in the business to create them.

ESPN is the evil empire and will continue unabated until it destroys sports as we've known it and all that is good in this world.

If all you did was rebound then I would consider that player the same as Redick. I am by no means saying Redick isn't good or doesn't deserve to be ONE of the all time greats as dook. If dook doesn't have SW rebounding this year and the #2 option in scoring, hell just take away his rebounding and dook wouldn't have near the victories they had this year.

There are a lot of players on that list that did more than just score, most on the list were able to take over games in addition to scoring. Redick would be in the 2nd tier as college goes for dookies.

Laettner, Brand, Hill, JWill, Dawkins, Banks, and Ferry with a few others previous to that list would be the top tier imo.

Battier would almost make this list, he didn't do one thing great, but he did every good imo.

Just my 2 cents I guess, I would just prefer players who could do multiple things on the court very good.

I think you're focusing too much on the fact that Redick is so one-dimensional. You don't get discounted as a great player if you can't do a lot of things well. The only thing that matters is your impact on the game, whether it's doing one thing exceptionally well or doing a lot of things at a high level. Ferry, Hill, and Jason Williams were all good players who could do multiple things well, but I never saw any of them as unstoppable at the college level. In my mind, Redick is. The only thing I've seen that can stop him is fatigue.

Shit, didn't see the in the last 25 years. WHOOPS, take off Groat and Heyman and Gminski. Redick could be Top 15 at Duke in Assists by the end of this year. Not saying he's an outstanding passer or anything, but when I saw that I was kinda shocked.
