I have always hated Dook, but Grant Hill is a class act and as good a ball player as anyone around. Shame about his injury troubles.

As far as Reddick goes....sure 9th, 10th....50th whatever.

I didn't put my list in any particular order. Hell, I don't even have Langdon or Carawell on there and they were All America Players.

I admire Redick as a scorer, he's probably my 2nd favorite Dookie behind Hill, but I think he may be over rated even in the confines of the Duke program.

Redick is better than most of the guys on that list.

I think Banks finished in 83 or 84 so not sure he meets your timeframe. Don't even know who Taylor is to be honest.

Glad to hear it is not in order. Dawkins would be 1st without a doubt.

What about Mike Dunleavy...thought he was pretty good until we went stupid and jumped early...is he even still in the NBA?

Banks and Vince Taylor were part of the 81 team. So change it to 26 years. :D

Taylor was a helluva player and one of the most under rated Dookies ever, IMO.

I thought about Dunleavy but he didn't quite make the grade. I had some questions about Brand because of the short time in Durham but he was a dominating player.

people have fallen in love with the 3 pointer. whatever happened to traits like hard nosed defense to go along with the offensive numbers....and titles? give me an all around guy like Laettner, Battier or Hurley (since we're speaking of Duke) and i'll win some freakin ball games. JJ can put the ball in the hole with the best of them and play the whole game but his defense cant touch the CLASSIC Dukies.
