Is Michael Vick overrated?

    Had a guy tell about hearing Phil Simms on a radio talk show. Basically saying Michael Vick is the most overrated QB in the league. To make his point he was watching an Atlanta game where Vick was pretty bad. Then in watching the ESPN highlites it made VIck look like an all-pro. what is the fascination with this guy. Last year Culpepper was much better, I also think Leftwich is better, and then there is Steve McNair. What is the overall opinion.

    He's extremely overrated. He has a passing game that resembles Delhomme's weekly performance and all of a sudden he's the best ever. He's very overrated but I like Delhomme and the Panthers being under the radar. I still think this team is not as good as 2003's team, but the Patriots aren't nearly as good so this team has a chance to win the Super Bowl. I don't see anyone beating the Colts. I'd put Vick at about 10th best QB in the NFL. Numbers wise he is about 30th

    As an athlete & football player? No.

    As a quarterback? Absolutely.

    He may be a horribly erratic passer, but the boy sure as hell can make plays and move the chains with his feet better than any QB EVER. I am not a huge fan of him myself, but he is one of the most electrifying players in the league to watch hands down. Always wonder what he might do.

    And lets be honest, Manning has not been to the SB, and he is the golden child. Neither has Vick. Who would you rather have and why? I say Payton with the Colts O and Vick with the Falcons. Teams built around their strengths. Which philosophy is right? Dunno, don't care. Don't want either to win the SB regardless.

    Mexico is a running back who takes a direct snap. His passer rating is junk (no matter what he did against Miami last week--sorry Mikey, I ain't sold), his ability to scramble is what makes him who he is, and it will also be his undoing. There will come a time when he shimmies rather than shakes, and linebacker will hit him hard enough to cause him to soil himself.


    I just hope it's a Panther that delivers the shot.
