    As I recall, Akron beat NCSU in Ral. during the Amato head coaching era. And Amato's excuse at that time was that schools like Akron accepted non-qualifiers. He was much criticized for that comment then and it was just one of several shortcomings that eventually led to his ouster.

    He would be joining Papa Bowden's son Terry, the new HC of the Zips.

    Did you see Terry in the news conference & welcome ceremony? He's put on a few lb.'s.
