Putting Islam into its proper context of a false religion that keeps people from coming to accept Christ helps one realize that they are a force for evil in the world. Many millions die and go to hell thinking they are living the correct way because they are muslims.

Christians are instructed in the New Testament to hold each other accountable -- to admonish one another and speak the truth in love. So you are correct that Christians are obligated to speak out when another Christian is doing something evil in the name of Christianity.

But that's our standard, not necessarily that of Islam.

I honestly don't know because I haven't read that far in the Qur'an yet, but what if their doctrine says if a Muslim acts out against Allah's commands, he is to be ignored, not admonished? What if good Muslims are instructed to leave judgment to Allah, and not each other? I'm not saying that's necessarily the case, but it's a possibility, and one that I think makes sense if it's true.

Thelt, you're making inferences about millions of people from the personal politics of heads of state and radical warlords who intimidate and lie to ignorant peasants to get them to do their dirty work for them. Unless you've got some hard numbers (and it doesn't sound like you do), you're making one heck of a reach there.

In a way, they do. That's why we're at war with Al Qaeda and the followers of Muqtada al Sadr instead of Islam.

Why are you so intent on hating them?

If you truly believe this, are you advocating:

    1) Using the United States armed forces to bring about the destruction of Islam.
    2) Using the United States armed forces to bring about the destruction of any religion other than Christianity.

Think hard before you answer. Think about how your answer compares to Matthew 5.

I do not advocate either of those things. I do however think seeing Islam for what it is helps you understand why they do what they do.

What would be wrong with telling them- "Hey, don't mess with any of our friends (England, Isreal, Australia etc...) and we won't mess with you and your own little world!"

Give Israel their corner of the dessert, the Palestinian their own little corner and the Arabs can have the rest of the Middle East.

I dont think there is anything wrong with that except that they would never live by that. They want Israel wiped off the map. The palestinians have had numerous chances for a state of their own. Clinton had a sweet deal worked out for them and they turned it down.
