I am unaware of these people, I will look them up when I get a chance. They are not supported by any one of note in christianity though. You are not going to find a poll that says 13% of christians say it was justified and 15% are not sure.

There's a link to the Qur'an stuck to the front page of this forum. Can you show me this "portion" you're talking about, or are you getting this from fundamental fear-mongering Christian/right wing broadcasters?

Show me an imam or a cleric who's pulled the trigger of an RPG-7 or driven a car full of explosives.

It would seem they're cut from the same cloth. Both have the same patriarch (Abraham), and in many ways you can still see shades of the sibling rivalry Jacob and Esau in the struggle between Arabs and Israelis. Both Islam and Judaism seem to believe that only obedience to Mosaic Law can bring salvation and favor in God's eyes. Christianity is a departure from that idea, resting its weight on grace rather than performance.

The reason I drew the comparison is that they have very similar roots and backgrounds, yet the two cultures have very different perspectives on it. As you said, Islam seems to be focuses on justice, while Judaism seems to be focused on purity. Two sides of the same coin?

    Agreed.

I hope not. And I think it can get a lot better than Indonesia. That place is one of the martyr capitals of the world for Christians.

It does not matter what the Koran says, there is a portion of muslims that believe this way. Whether or not they are following the Koran does not change the fact that they are accepted as muslims and have these beliefs. You do not have to have anyone tell you this you can look at world events and know it is true. Check out the dancing in the streets videos from 9/11.

I don't think that they are accepted as Muslims. The Muslim clerics in the region have been fairly vocal about condemning these attacks. The attacks on Christian churches recently was roundly condemned by almost all Iraqis. You insist on saying that those that don't follow the Quran are still Muslims because they say they are. Well, I don't follow the Quran so if I claim to be a Muslim but don't practice the religion, am I a Muslim? I also don't follow the precepts of the Bhagavadgita nor the Vedas, does that make me a Hindu? A Muslim necessarily follows the Quran in the same way that a Christian follows the Bible. How could you call someone Christian if they don't follow the Bible, even if they themselves call themselves Christians.

When is the last time the condemned the terrorist attacks carried out by the palestinians against Israel. Who has said that they are not really muslims. I have not heard anyone say Bin Laden is not a muslim, besides on here.
