Ipod Help

I'm trying to load up an Ipod i got for my dad for father's day. I loaded up a bunch of stuff on my home computer (pc). Now I want to take my laptop with me to the beach and load the rest of his cd's on there. but when i tried to use my laptop, it tells me that i can't have my ipod sync'd with another library and says it will erase everything on my ipod to sync with the library on my laptop.

Is there anyway around this?

 

load up some cd/dvds with the music you want him to have and copy to computer, then load ipod, or go through the back way on it to copy songs to his computer without involving i-tunes

 

you mean using like windows media player?

i'm feeling extra retarded right now so i need to be helped out.
