    I just found out that the mapping in it isn't GPS based and can't do turn-by-turn... That bums me out, I don't think I'm interested anymore.

    It ain't GPS but its pretty damn good locating with the cell towers. ANd I'm looking at turn by turn directions to a place I'm going in Asheville from my location right now . :thinking:

    I honestly thought I may regret buying one back in October. I haven't regretted it for a second....

    by turn by turn I mean it says "turn left in 500 feet" as you drive, and if you make a wrong turn it recalculates you way.

    iPhone does that?

    Oh, my bad. It gives you a map and has text based directions. It doesn't recalculate if you miss a turn. Although, if you miss a turn it would only be a matter of hitting about three buttons to get new directions....

    No biggie to me, but I could see where it would be for some.

    The Google Maps thing is not iPhone specific...I have it on my BlackJack, along with Live Maps. And FYI, the BlackJack II has a GPS built-in that either can use to locate you precisely, the non-GPS route that the iPhone (and my old BlackJack) uses sometimes puts me blocks away from my real location.
