i don't get it. we had the lead many times last year and lost it. if the corners play decent we'll get a lot more wins than that. 10-6

Well I'm sticking with my 9-7 prediction for the Panthers from last year - nailed that one... ;)

Edit - no way the Bucs finish 12-4, they have a huge gap at that position... whats it called when you get change back from a dollar for something that cost 75 cents? :D (You get a ...)

Edit #2 - Plus there is that West Coast Factor... Siefert, Gruden, the list goes on...

This is the weakest division in football. No doubt.

I'd have to put the Bucs down for at least 5 victories in the division. They should win 6, but they seem to play up or down the the quality of the opponent too much.

They finally have some recievers. I've always liked what Pittman can do. They've still got a very good defense. And Brad Johnson fits right in with what Gruden wants from a QB.

Not sure what you are saying, Sandy. Teams with the right personnel run the WCO well. Particuarly veteran teams like this one.

If Walker can not suck at LT again, and the offensive line could run block, this team would be special. Here's to hoping they continue to suck, and we ring Johnson up for double digit sacks this season.

The Falcons are seriously overrated. They don't have the muscle up front. Even with their losses, the Saints still have the better offensive line, better recievers, better QB IMO.

Not that the Saints are heading in the right direction. Trading Williams was stupid. Letting Roaf and Mitchell go, that was ok, and they got Riley to replace Roaf. But losing Johnson and Glover takes away their identity. They better hope Grant turns into a player. And then they make the biggest gamble of FA. Dale Carter may have been the best cover corner in football a few years ago, but that was before the green turned into white straight up his nose. He's one snort away from banishment, and they are paying him 5 million a year.

I think the Panthers have an easy enough scedule and the potential to really look good this year.

The Bucs are actually starting to scare me. Gruden is happy with Johnson, but Rob, not so much Brad. The verdict is still out. The practices seem to be a lot more vocal than in the past, and the players are loving it. Dungy's not the type of coach that encouraged fighting, pushing & shoving, trash talking and swearing, in fact he forbids it. Gruden on the other hand...well, I think the question to "who let the dogs out" could finally be answered this year. Joe Jurvious, Pittman, McCardell, and TE Ken Dilger will all make an impact for the Bucs offense, and the defense has only a couple of changes really, but the new guys will plug right into the system. It doesn't gear towards the MLB position anyway, so that will be almost unnoticed. Yea, I think the Bucs could go 12-4, or even better. They are going to be a solid football team and you're not going to see those mental mistakes that plague a young team. A lot will depend on how long it takes them to gel, and by the buzz around this town, they're ready now.

me neither. They are so desparate to get the stadium filled that they are offering season tickets to all the games for $100. $10 a game!!!

So, if any of you Panther fans want to come down and watch a game.... $10. Cheapest tickets anywhere!!!
