    Determinism is only absolute on the "macro" level of collections of covalently bonded atoms and molecules interacting with one another. The same causality cannot be shown to exist on the quantum level, though that does not mean events are not caused. Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle comes into play, so the best we seem to be able to do currently is fill predictive matrices with atomic states. The matrices work exceptionally well though, as long as it is understood that the outcome will fall within a particular range....much like free will.
