    dave, circuit city is selling them online friday at 2 pm. not sure if it's gonna be there on tuesday or shippping tuesday, or it could even be beginning of the year for all i know. i'm really debating whether to buy one.

    going to retail stores are the best bet. Places like ebgames and gamestop won't be getting shit in comparison to walmart or best buy. Ebgames is even telling people they may have to wait untl january to get their preordered xbox 360.

    By all means get the $400 one. With controllers being $40/$50 and memory cards being so high, you might as well get the one with a {edit: headset, no extra controller :( }and Hard Drive.

    If you have high speed internet, you will have four or five demos available from Day 1 on XBox Live. With the new XBox 360, everyone has a basic Live account, which allows you to play XBox Arcade (have to buy the games) and buy other things, as well as play demos. But not if you don't have a Hard Drive.

    also the HDD is supposed to retail at $99 by itself later anyways.
