Who is liable when the information is wrong?

    is it the previous owner?
    the listing agent?
or the real estate from the listing agent works for?

Guessing the agent? Agent probably gets info from buyer but should check for accuracy once the info is posted.

wonder what the statue of limitations is? We moved from county city so our kids to go to the city schools (our county has separate county and city districts) . .come to find out recently (admissions issue) that we are 1 of 7 house on the street zoned for county schools, yet our mls has city.

We would of never looked at/purchased our house had it listed the county schools, wondering what kind of $$ can be assigned to that. not that i want to assign a $$ value, but the wife is now looking at other houses because of it

I'm guessing one would be SOL on this one. Are there any disclaimers regarding MLS listings?

Nope - no disclaimers . . i hoping we're not SOL - in talking with other listing agents, it does lower or property value

but I guess one could view it as our fault for not scrubbing the tax records before purchase

    - but listing agents generally say about 10-20000 grand less in property value

they funny thing is the owner of the real estate company the agent works for is on the county board and was part of our denial to get our tax status changed. . .

Part of the reason you pay a commission is to protect you from things like this.

You probably have a claim against your agent and the listing agent.

Whether or not a lawyer will take your case is another issue entirely.
