had the same issue. apparently it's not too uncommon for an infant to not poop for up to a week. we gave our little guy some prune juice with some water. probably 2 oz of water and maybe 1/2 ounce of juice. seemed to do the trick. he had stopped just around his 2 month checkup so the doc was able to suggest the prune juice. he also said if he (our son) wasn't showing any signs of discomfort, that it wasn't a big concern.

light karo syrup and water. can't recall the measurements, but I'm sure you could google it. you boil the water and mix the karo syrup in, let it cool and put it in a fucking baby bottle.

Thanks. We fixed the problem. Our daughter crapped 6 times yesterday. The doc said it's normal not to poop for 2-3 days with a bottle fed baby. We are doing a combination of breast/bottle so she usually poops at least once a day. She was obviously in pain as she woke up the whole neigborhood. We tried the baby grape juice. It went down ok but then it all came back up about five minutes later. We did the baby enema thing and gave her a couple ounces of water. Also took the water from some boiled oatmill and gave her a couple ounces of that. Seemed to do the trick.

i remember having to dig the dried crumbly poo outta our sons butt when he got stopped up. all through his chilfhood he would go for days without taking a dump and then stop up the toilet with his "baby legs". it wasnt until middl school that he was able to get "regular". he could take some monster dumps.

I had to do that and use baby suppositories and prune juice and some other stuff for one of mine…we had major problems, but its all better now and she was breastfed too.

Glad to hear all is better. That's weird though for a breast fed baby. Was there something else wrong? It was rather humerous when I look back on it. It was me and my wife cheering, "poop poop" to our daughter while she was looking at us as if were were crazy.

She was a bit early and very very small so the doctor said that may have had something to do with it. And you are right, it is so funny to get so excited about poop! People look at you like you are mad when you get excited about changing a poopy diaper that you didnt have to help make! After she was over a year things started to get better on their own.
