dessens hasn't had run support. hard to win w/o that. dodgers score runs.

and im not jealous of the braves, i'd rather not make the playoffs and just suck, rather than get embarassed year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year, and if you're counting, thats 12 years.

you need to take out the championship year. while at it, take out the kirby puckett heroics year too. also, joe carter and the jays won back to back, so take that one out too. while at it, take out the yankees years because steinbrenner can outbuy anyone.

you know what you would come up with? 2 or 3 years where the braves actually choked.

and no, dessens sucked last year, and the year before that too.

i'm done with you. when you are sitting at home watching my braves in the playoffs and your beloved dodgers are out playing golf, maybe we can talk again.

you know, I agree partially with that. Not all years did Atlanta choke. I don't think you can consider 91 a choke, that was one of the best World Series in a long time. 92 was about the same. IMO, 93 was a choke, they were much better than the Phillies that year. 96 and 97 I guess you could call a choke too, especially the 2-0 lead back in 96.

But since 98, I don't think the media as a whole considered the Braves the favorites in those seasons, kinda hard to choke when no everybody even expects you to makes it to the World Series? 96-2000 was the Yankee's dynasty and since then it has been the year of the underdogs (Arizona, Florida, Anaheim)

My question is: If Atlanta goes on and wins the division but loses in the Wild Card round, do the Anti-Braves fans consider that another choke, while at the same time those same fans had then finishing as low as 3rd or 4th in the division?

The Braves will never be like the Dodgers, we are still the 2nd best team ever to play the game.

with hall of famers like Jackie Robinson, Drysdale, Koufax, Dusty Baker, Snider, Hodges, P Reese, Scioscia, Garvey, Sutton, Valenzuela.

18 World Series apperances, 6 World Series wins. The Braves have a long way to go to become the powerhouse my beloved Dodgers are. :mushy:
