That's almost as idiotic as the "Larry Brown doesn't want to win championships, he just wants to build teams to make the playoffs" argument some people around here spew.

oh yea, in case you missed this:

Beltre leads the Majors in Homeruns, hes on fire.

Green, totals to a .266 average with 22 homers and 72 RBIs since the July 12-14 break.

Finely, hes just on fire, welcome to LA Steve.

Werth and Grabowski are great off the bench guys. Hernandez can play ANYWHERE, and hits great.

Nomo is hurt, Penny is hurt, both are comming back within the week and we still have a 4 game lead. How many more games do you think "the great one" can possibly blow. With several days rest now, he should be ready to go again soon. Pitching has been our weakness of late.

Going 12-9 in August after our clubhouse shakeup with Mota and Doca, and still outscoring our opponent 99-81, we are FAR from losing the West battle.

The Giants have only one 2 more games than us this month, and they have FL in FL then they play the Braves, so I'm sure we'll keep our lead. :xyzthumbs

in conclusion, I think with all the pitching drama we've had, we are doing a good job.

unless you're starters can start going 8 innings, the worst is yet to come for gagne and your dodgers. due to mota being gone, gagne will continue to get overworked, like he has lately, and will continue to get hit, like he has lately. your front office boys fucked up getting rid of mota.

ONE NAME: Dressens. Plus Ishii will go to the pen, followed by Nomo. They dont have to go 8 innings with a bullpen like that.

could be right. But i'll need some help on betting on who knocks the Braves out of the 2nd round. I usually bet on it, I've won 7 out of 12 years. Thats good ole' betting too, "whos going to knock off the Braves again this year" hmmmmm.
