Would turn out to be a game changer like Cam was in 2011. A defensive player that makes an impact would be nice. Wouldn't have to change the game like Cam has just for once a really step on the field first play of he season and contribute for the next 8 to 10 years. Then hit on 5 of the next 6 players drafted and come up with at least 2 viable starters. Seifert's last draft was phenominal if only this one could be so productive.

Morgan/Jenkins/Smitty. Weinke, Cooper and Dee Brown.

Dont have a third, so really, we need to hit bigtime on the first two picks.

    1st Kuechly MLB
2nd Thompson/Still DT, maybe Poe falls all the way down here.
    4th Joe Adams WR/RETURNER

    Hows that?

Would keep a close eye on Wright/Jenkins/Sanu for impact guys that could fall to #40. All 3 have special team capabilities, check Sanu's highlights for some scatback stuff that could easily fit in here with Chuds stuff.

Yeah we're not drafting The BC kid. We're just not. Nice to check him out and do our due diligence, but it's not going to happen.

Yeah, that'd be like taking a RB in the first when you already had DeAngelo Williams..

I would not rule out Kuechly at all.

I think it could happen, if they have good reason to think Beason's play will be compromised by that injury. And it is said that a player with that injury does not ever get back to what he had been.

If there is one guy clearly a level better than the other options, I'm about taking him and letting things work themselves out. Is Kuechly that guy? Remains to be seen.

I was just trying to draft guys somewhat comparable to Morgan/Jenks/Smitty

But i wouldnt call Luke a pure MLB, the dude can play outside too. He played OLB as a freshman before moving inside. He played alot of zone coverage too, so he's kinda new school too. Weve been harping on about guys that have the ability to cover TE's, he can do that.

Lets be honest, Davis and Beason arent likely to play a full season next year.

He will bring impact year one, even if they both are healthy.

Got to have options if Claiborne/Coples/Brockers dont fall. Could also trade down to mid teens and grab him.

Not a fan of drafting Ingram and after Anderson I dont see us investing #9 in Kirkpatrick. Keuchly fits the bill of our first round picks, smart, leadership, intangibles the body of work both on tape and at the combine. He has the things people wish Poe had. Then you add the Rivera factor and i think its almost a slam dunk.

Different staff, different group. Plus we ran the ball, and that was our identity.

Who knows, maybe you're right. If he can play on the outside as good as he can the middle, we're golden. Beason won't move outside for the full time though. And unless your outside linebacker is a pass rush specialist in a 34, I cannot see drafting one that high.

JR and MH are still at the top of the heap.

Rivera is an old school guy, a D guy just like Foxy.

It was Chud and Shula that really made this team different (and Cam of course).

Just think a LB guy like Rivera would really love this kid. I know we have other needs but there's not an awefull lot not to like about him.

People might moan on the day but years later we will look back on it just like we did Gross.

Would also give the 3-4 guys something to think about. Luke and Beason as ILB's, thats just nasty.
