My thoughts are this. McCardell, Pittman, Jurivicious were great pick-ups for the Bucs. I'd like to have seen what the Panthers would have looked like with these 3 on the team and a 2nd round draft pick at corner or Qb.

Peete is not accurate at all. When he does get the ball to the reciever, it's barely catchable.

Why is Dee Brown not our starting RB?

At the half, it's exactly 2 plays from being 20-10 Panthers.

Dee's not a starting caliber guy. If he had better speed, he'd be better, because he has some Trung Canidate - like abilities with a small hole and burst. There's just less speed there at the end of the acceleration. I like him and I love that we go with him over Goings, but he's really not that good at anything to be able to be best used or schemed. So we use him as change of pace and he looks good in that regard.

He's certainly used situationally, but he does have some Amp Lee in him or maybe Bienemy. He gets more yards a carry in similar situations than Lamar, who can be a moody runner.

Yeah, Peete's usually more accurate than that I imagine.

Peete just sucked. Maybe it was his finger, but he just really looked like shit. Gee, Rob Johnson was available too. I would have like to seen Weinke come in. Peete's our best shot when he's 100% healthy, but when he's not, we need amore athletisism there.

Dee might lack speed, but he sure is quick. Lamar just doesn't make people miss. I think if they brought Lamar in as a change of pace guy and get Dee more touches, both backs would look better. I'd find it hard to believe Lamar could out run Brown anyway.

Grant gave up a nice INT that would have kept 3 off the board. Oh well. Other than leaving Tampa's WR's wide open all day, the Def played pretty damn good I thought. I can't complain about the lack of pressure on Brad, it seemed like every play he just got the ball out as quick as he could. A little tighter coverage he might of had to hold the ball a little longer, have would have been in for a rough day.

Henning sure likes that draw play. Everybody seemed to know that too. He called a pretty good came though. Offense just lacked the execution. This loss is on Peete, IMO. The Bucs should give him the game ball.
