OK, I am turning into a blimp. I just got home from the beach, and this morning I am up to 220 lbs. That's only 5 pounds less than I have ever been and I'm not going to size 38 pants. These dang 36's are getting too damn tight. So starting today, I am cutting out soft drinks again (unless they're diet) and switching to water and cutting out my daily order of french fries at lunch. I usually drink a half gallon of Coke or Pepsi a day. I am also debating trying Hydroxycut. I exercise fairly regularly, but lately I have been slacking off on the weightlifting since I injured my shoulder and back. I've been doing cardio for about 45 minutes a day 4-5 days a week, but I can feel my muscles getting soft again. I need to get back into the weights on a limited basis.

Everybody says "Oh, you're tall, 220 pounds isn't much for someone 6"5" Bullshit. My doctor said my optimum weight is between 187-196. So I'm shooting for 200.

Any other tips? Cutting down on drinking beer is NOT an option. I usually drink on Thursday and Saturday nights.

My goal is to get down to 200 by the end of July. Is that unrealistic?

Me too Silver. Those pictures from the lake were the last straw. I actually used to inspire fear in people who looked at me, not mirth. I think I have found my salvation though. Those red wine vinegrette subs from SubWay kick ass and I can eat subs 5 days a week. 12 grams of fat for a foot long sub aint too shabby. Considering my normal lunch is probably 40 grams of fat that is probably a good starting point. Now if only it didnt take me 14 beers to feel a buzz.....

Hope not. My I noticed 36's are getting tight after coming back from Tybee this weekend.

When my knee went out, I gained some weight from not being as active as I was. But now I'm working out more, but the weight ain't coming off.

I know it's the beer and how much I eat, but I was always able to keep around 215 just with exersize. But it doesn't come off with just exersize, and the bitch is that I get hungry after exersize. And beer is good.

I'm going to have to bite the bullet. I'll start with no more Dr. Peppers.

I've been trying to be better, too, and I wish I had the problem of weighing 215. I gotta drop 20 to be there.

  7. Well, if Sly and Silver can do it - so can I (drink more beer I mean).
