Guess that explains why Dawkins didn't shake Doherty's hand. Bet all you Heels feel like idiots now. Not only backing such a classless team but trying to pin it on Duke.

I think that shows LOWER class from Duke. "LETS PLAY THE 3 YEAR OLD GAME" if he dont shake our hand, then we wont...hahahhaha, that will show him. Give me a break, both are to fault, but Dawkins, that was unexpected, and he just costed himself a few more years as an assistant.

 

As to the first incident. In the 1st game didn't Jones back into Doherty after a 3 pointer and then Doherty told him to watch out - or something like that. Anyway, both participants said it was an accident and no big deal. Coaches generally shouldn't talk to the opposing players, although they wall do - Dean did it, K does it, and I think that Roy and K had a spat over it a few years ago, but I could be wrong.

The second two incidents involved assistant coaches. No less an authority than Jay Bilas said after the Collins incident that Collins was in the wrong and that asst. coaches should sit down, hold their clipboards and shut the fuck up unless the head coach asks them to say something. I don't think you can argue that Bilas is pro-UNC. Dawkins should have shaken his hand no matter what - bygones are supposed to be bygones and if you can't let it go that shows that you have no class, not that the person that you had a dispute with has no class. Dawkins should take a lesson from hockey players who regularly beat the shit out of each other then shake hands at the end of the game.

Don't make me bump the thread where a lot of Heels were saying Dawkins had no class simply because he would not shake Doh's hand. Try to spin it however you want. If you cannot say that Doh was also classless then you are a hypocrite.

What exactly did Doherty do that you think is so classless? Talk to an opposing player? K does it all the time - are you saying that he is classless? I dont think i said that....i also dont think vpkozel said that either....he said let bygones be bygones...the deal was done, but dawkins had to keep it going. i dont think you have any right saying carolina fans are classless or coachs or what not, when dawkins kept it going. Doh was wrong, everyone was wrong, but Dawkins acted 3...like I said, I guess he likes to be assistant...b/c he just lost alot of respect.
