    I'd just like to go back to CBGB's in NY in the late 70's early 80's and just take in punk as it happened....

    oh yea... i'd also like to have seen the tams back in the day...

    Ditto the CBGB comment - at least for a night.

    I saw most of the bands I love - such as REM in the 80's (at William & Mary College).

    I guess my choices would be kinda cliche - Led Zep.. Beatles at various stages, etc. Except for 3:

    Big Star anywhere in the southeast, circa early 70's
    Bauhaus - circa late 70's/early 80's - even weirder scene than CBGBs.
    And Jeff Buckley, circa mid 90's, preferably one of his France shows or Chicago/San Fran. I kept putting off seeing him 'cause I was broke in grad school. Worst mistake of my life. :(
