Which bands would you see if you could travel back in time?

    My choices would be:

    Jimi Hendrix
Pink Floyd when Syd Barrett was still fronting them
The Beatles in Hamburg (before they were famous)
Any band in San Francisco in the mid 60's (as long as Owsley was there with me, if you know what I mean!)

anywhere I lay my head I'm gonna call my home
Minton's Playhouse, cir. 1944 - Thelonios Monk, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker

Jimi Hendrix in his blues phase

I'd want to see Woodstock, partly for the pop culture. George Clinton with Bootsy. James Brown in the late 60s.

B.B. King before he was old, Clifford Brown before he died, Robert Johnson while he was in his prime. Love the idea of the Beatles way back in the day. Would be fun to see Dave Matthews Band while it was being put together, partly because it's just such fucked up instrumentation. I'm sure more will come to me later.

    Rush (circa 2112)

As much as I like the Beatles, I wouldn't want to see them live in the US. I like my eardrums.
