williams has stated that he is staying in college. if he comes out, sure i would take him, but w/ mcgahee's injury, i don't think he would slip to #9.

there are a bunch of guys that turned in great receiving games. andre johnson hasn't impressed me that much, to be honest. just like taylor jacobs.

i agree on jacobs. everytime i've seen him, he looks very timid going over the middle.

Jacobs I don't like at all. I know he's more talented than guys like Gage or the like, but I rate them about the same.

Johnson v/s Roy Williams? Wanted Williams before the season. Want him still. Better player v/s better athlete, even though Johnson's basically as fast and stronger - the difference is that Roy uses his athleticism and not much more - so it shows up better. Andre can go over the middle, where Roy is timid in traffic situations. A play that sticks out in my mind (and I hate to let one play bias my feelings on his ball carrying) is that he got caught at the sideline by a DT because he slowed in traffic on a reverse. He got tentative. He's done that in other situations, which makes me think that plays like the reverse, the WR screen/hitch, slants, short square ins, crosses, and all the rest aren't the way to go with him. I figure if we have the choice between the two, a player should be able to do that as a receiver compared to not.

Plus, Andre runs good routes and Roy really doesn't.

Are the 2003 WRs really "all that"???

In light of this seasons rooks like D Stallworth, A Davis, A Bryant, A Lelie, J Walker, Randle El, D Branch, J Reed, J Gaffney, R Caldwell, and T Carter (did I leave anyone out?) the 2002 class suddenly doesn’t look all that impressive. Without Williams and Woods it actually looks pretty wimpy by comparison. The way I am seeing it there are more tall possession type guys but when it comes down to NFL caliber deep-threats and more complete WRs 2002 looks superior so far. I will be curious to see just how effective the top ten ’03 WRs will be in comparison to the group above.
Maybe I just haven’t been very observant but the 2002 WR class hasn’t gotten the recognition that they deserve. They seem pretty damn impressive to me.

Oh, most people saw last year's class as one of the best and deepest going in, and that's certainly proven true. There is less depth this year by far, without Rodgers it would look really weak.

Othe rthan QB, there don't seem to be many worthwhile Offensive skill positions in round one (rodgers excluded).

    I hope manning comes out.
