    would this Shockey kid from Miami be a good pick? The Panthers don't have much TE help.

    Wouldn't really help much here, he'll make a good TE for some other team though. We have lots of problems, but TE isn't one of them right now.

    Trading down is a good idea. With all the holes the Panthers have more picks would come in very handy.

    After the trade I'd like to see them pick up Jammer with the 1st pick. IMHO the CB situation is near crises status.

    I doubt we'll draft an offensive player on day one. If we do it would have to be someone special who for one reason or another fell to the second or third round.

    and preferably only the 3rd. I think the top of 4 is a great place to find an offensive player, since you have all night to take stock of what's there and a lot of defenders seem to get taken at the back end of 3. defenders and quarterbacks.
