    Then THAT MEANS he's OUT!!!

Now who's really the fucking retard here? Your no Dumbass, don't act like one. I admitted it probably won't happen, but it does make good football sense, to at least consider it. From purely a football perspective.

Putting aside all of the baggage that Vick would bring....all of the folks who are clamoring for Vick to be a Panther are fogetting one big issue - he absolutely sucked once other teams, such as the Panthers, figured him out. He is a running back who throws a decent, but inaccurate, spiral.

The Falcons taylored their offense around him with adequate talent, yet, after that one big run in the playoffs, he didn't do squat. As a matter of fact, he admitted that he gave up during one game with us. Is that the sort of attitude you want leading this team?

The Wildcat formation is just a fad that carried over from last year (or technically, with us the year before). It is a gadget offense that a smart defensive coordinator will learn to counter.

At the end of the day, the best teams at the end of the season are usually the ones who can run the ball on offense and stop the run on defense. To run that sort of offense you need a stable quarterback who can lead. Jake, while not the athlete Vick is, is a leader. For the way this team is built, I'd take Jake over Vick all week long and twice on Sunday.

but it is not just a purely football decision. you can't discount the fact that the guy is a convicted felon. You can't discount the fact that he lied to Arthur Blank and Roger Goodell. You can't forget that bringing him here will result in a public relations nightmare and a media blitz that will undoubtedly cause distractions in the locker room. You want to bring that to the town that dealt with Rae Carruth, Kerry Collins and about a half-dozen DWI's?

did you also forget that he admitted to basically quitting in a game against the panthers and followed that up by flipping his own fans the bird as he left the field in the Georgia Dome? The last QB to 'quit' on his team here was run out of town so fast (with no compensation) it wasn't even funny.

and let's talk about it from a football perspective. Two years in the joint has made people forget that Vick had already started to regress as a player. Teams (including the Panthers) had figured him out. Two full seasons away from the game didn't make him better.

edit: BamBam, you beat me to the point by a few minutes on a couple of things. But it is good to know that not everyone forgot those things.

Call me a cynic, but if this is what you are trying to avoid you might should tune into ESPN at 1:00PM on Sundays and watch bowling instead.

Fair warning: those bowling guys can be pretty vicious over a Denny's sponsorship too.

Vick has limited skills ( even less now that he has rotted in a cell for 2 years) as a QB. If you wanted to bring him here as a RB or wideout, who's roster spot are you going to give him ?

He simply would not be worth the horrendous PR nightmare and character baggage he would bring to the team.
