See I think HDD are worthless and nothing more than novelties. They just dont do anything substantial to the system.

 

once again, the developers didnt use it. It could be used to download new levels or even to reduce loading times to almost nothing. If you play ps2 games off a ps2, you can notice the difference. Even Halo 2 sucks during cutscenes because the drive can't read the disk fast enough. I dont know if you have played it, but during cutscenes only, you can notice popup with backgrounds. If you play Halo off the HDD, it doesnt do that. Another fine example of developers wasting an important tool because it takes a little more time to do.

 

HDD's cause more trouble than they are worth. I've had two friends with X-Box's HDD's crash as well as a friend with a PS2 HDD. I sold my friend my HDD for $30.

 

I have a launch xbox and have had no problems with it ever. I'm sure it you drop it or something then it'll break, but mine has been fine. The Xbox does fuck up when people start messing around with shit they dont know about. My friend tried that soft mod hack thing, but it fucked his xbox up.
