not quite. A lot of the xbox games are ps2 ports. When companies spend more time on xbox games, it shows. Hell, even the ps2 fanboy favorite GTA looks much better on the xbox. I know because I own both systems.

Xbox games are better graphically when done right, just as how the ps2 has varying degrees of quality. I own some ps2 games with fucking jaggies, while others look great.

 

At least DaveW knows how to put an argument together.

And Dave, PS2 does have a component "HD" video cable that does make things quite prettier. You dont get to select the resolution filter, but it does get the job done.

For people with 70" DLP flat panels and the like...well, you guys are not a standard. I think 27" is still the average homeuser's size.

I wont agrue that the X-box games can have better quality, but it is the better system as far as specs so. However no one has (as of yet) been able to create a game for the X-Box that totally out classes the PS2 (I wont get into the Gamecube because I believe has the prettiest games out).

I completly cant agree with that. The Gamecube has the BEST fist party games period. The games Nintendo puts out, while they may appear kiddy, are some of the most fun and inventive games to play. I play on my Gamecube at least 3 times a week. Super Smash Brothers is still one of my all time favorite multi-player games.

Not to mention Resident Evil 4 is coming out soon and the new kick ass Zelda is going to be out in 05 as well.

 

So for you to say that the PS2 was "lagging" behind in graphics is rather dumb.

why is that? its 110% true. I could care less about the ps2 vs xbox war. I had/still have a ps2 and the only reason I bought n xbox is because the ps2 was horrible on my new tv. I bought an xbox and figured how awesome it was. Yeah the controllers are not as user friendly but you get used to it. If you cant, there is a 3rd party company that makes ps2 controllers for xbox.

I tried that and barely noticed a difference. I thought it was malfunctioing or something so i took it back. still got the same results.
