Of course they haven't said anything publicly. They talk to people with access like the Shefters, Morts, and Kings of the world. Those are the guys reporting how Luck is viewed in the league by scouts and GMs.

    he is almost Emmitt bad.

I don't just see Luck as an arm. hell, I wasn't huge on Flacco.

I disagree. There was one play in the Orange Bowl (maybe in the 3rd, I don't remember), where Luck has a guy draped all over him, he throws off the wrong foot to a Tight End near the sideline. He showed fantastic arm strength on that throw (along with nice anticipation). I can't see arm strength being an issue.

That's my point, even with all the various and wonderful "venues" to expose us to players - no one had Luck (except Collin apparently) listed as a top pro qb prospect at the begining of the season. Compare that to the late 70's/early 80's without all the "venues" to get info out and yet it was widely known that Jack Elway's kid was going to be a star in the NFL.

No, they don't, because even anonymous comments would be considered tampering by the league and result in an investigation. You're confusing "scouts & GMs" with NFL & draft analysts. And even then you're ignoring the fact that few of them were talking about Luck being such an elite prospect before the season.

And just to get back on this, I was trying to do some digging and see if anyone here was really high on Luck until recently. I found this from 12-05-10: http://www.thisboardrocks.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2597579#post2597579

So what exactly changed in a month for Luck to go from "a fine prospect" to "the best prospect at qb in a decade." He played one bowl game between those two statements, and you want anyone to believe you didn't radically change your opinion because of media hype? I get it, because it's harder not to go along with the ESPN hysteria about how supremely super-duper awesome he is, but clearly that's what is affecting you here. You didn't think he was "the best prospect at QB in a decade" back on December 5th, and you shouldn't have because he isn't.

    Curly:
Todd McShay was high on Luck all along. I'm not sure exactly when he moved Luck ahead of Mallett, but he deserves credit.

I don't remember where I heard it, but I'm certain I did hear it. If whoever said it repeats it, I'll try to remember who said it.

When I start seeing single posts that feature quoted arguments with 3 or more people, it only means one thing :

    Collin's back. :russian:
