We will also have to add some new women's sports if we obtain football. I have a suggestion. WOMEN'S MUDWRESTLING!

After living in Austin for 9 years, I would return to my alma mater to teach tailgating 101. This freakish arrogant state of Texas is football CRAZY!

I know something gets lost in non-verbal communication. But I was just surprised that schools that are such high profile in football/basketball didn't have these other sports.

While I can't verify it, I've been told that Purdue didn't compete in Big Ten baseball until sometime in the mid-80's (supposedly it was just a club team before then).

My comments were to strictly illustrate that even some of the major schools that have been playing college sports longer than we've been a University have cut corners (surprising ones IMO).

As far as tailgates.........I agree that Texas is a great football state but having been a long suffering Green Bay Packer fan (since the mid-70's), I'm more than willing to contribute what I've learned following the Packers (includes roadtrips to Green Bay & , Detroit in addition to Charlotte).

I don't remember many colleges in New England having baseball, it's too damn cold. The Sec, ACC and Pac10 have already played 40 games before the snow is gone. I'm suprised the Big 10 has all those baseball teams.

anywhere I lay my head I'm gonna call my home
    I'd support football.
I think it's feasibly able, but the school's been so money poor (and alternately so hell bent on getting technology status, which woulda been all good five years ago when I was first getting into Smith building) that they'd probably turn it down, go to a lesser mid-major, and take the championship every year.
