And if I recall correctly, Packman made such a big fuss last year questioning whether they would sell these suites in the first place. Then again, Packer hasn't exactly been very right lately about pro basketball in Charlotte, yet he's the guy MC'ing the arrival of the Bobcats. Anyone else find that incredibly ironic?

    sds,
this city is not warming up to the NBA. if it were, the suites would of been sold out before the team was even announced. The same 15-20 companies (bofa, wach, duke, cont, etc) in town buy these kind of things because it is budgeted for entertaining. 60 suites should of been presold months ago if there were interest.

they said their goal for season tix is 10,000. I will be SHOCKED if that many buy them. I know my Dad was a Hornet season tix holder for 10+ years and he is dead set against it now. I am sure a good portion of the old NBA season tix holders feel the same, IMO. as Jams Worthy said on 610 this week, the NBA is no good right now.

How can you lease suites for a team that doesn't exist and who would they gonna buy them from? I twas impossible to lease them any earlier than they did.

20 suites in 2 or 3 weeks is pretty damn good considering the circus that just left town. I bet that all the suites will be sold by the time the new arena opens in 2 years and 4 months

But the product can always get better again :) . . . . I can't understand folks here who over the last few years would drop the NBA team for an MLB, a league where 1) TV ratings have dropped dramatically 2) their financial house isn't in order and 3) whose product on the field can also be labeled 'diluted' (too many teams, pitching sucks, etc.) . . . At least in the NBA, the salary cap forces everybody to play on a level field . . .

unfortunately the only way to fix the Pro game is to fix the college game... they NEED to set an age limit... the NBA draft is too covered in high school kids... now they are taking players based more on potential than skill... if kids are forced to go through college to reach the pros grades will improve, the college game will improve, kids will learn more fundamentals before going pro... with all that the NBA games will be more polished and people more willing to watch
