They don't need to look much further than right up the road in Durham. The new Durham Athletic Park is a nice stadium. No double deck park. Nice grass hill in center field where they sell tickets to it. Big wall in left field ala Fenway with manual scoreboard. Very fan friendly concourse alot like Baltimore. First picture is from my seats in left field.

I wish Charlotte was getting a major league baseball team rather than a NBA team. Or even just move the Knights up town.

I miss the old DAP. Spent many a night there in college.

One summer, we kneww the girls that worked in one of the beer stands. They kept track of how many beers they sold, by the number of cups. So we'd buy our first beer - and teh next 8 or so were free. Good times!

Showing my age here. I used to sell drinks at the old DAP when I lived in Chapel Hill. The best part of old DAP was the Flying Burrito stand there. They had the best (Still do) consessions there. Burritos wereHUGE and damn good

    U know what?

I wish someone on the CLT City Council and/or Meck. Co. Commission would have the stones to just put a $xx million referndum on the ballot to finance a AAA ballpark   !!!!!! I would vote yes for it in a second . . For what I pay in taxes, I wouldn't mind a few dollars of it to go to paying for a new Knights Ballpark in SOUTHEND. Something like this would be a boon for the community and the team!!!! Make the team pay for it over time via lease payments, sell the naming rights and use part of the proceeds to pay down the debt, etc. . . .

I don't know if it's coincedence but DAP was packed when we were there last weekend. Not sure if it was the more down town location that made the difference but it was a fun time. I talked to an usher and he said that the Bulls routinely get 8-10k people every night
