I was wrong (from last week).

*sigh* - well I was wrr rr ooo nn gggg. I really thought we would have had some news today. But since I do not know the ends and outs of salaries etc, maybe we can't.

It may take one more game, but I look for us to get another veteran in (not as old as Peete) and cut Winky. His demeaner could be a cancer for an otherwise upbeat team.

Maybe after Detroit, assuming Peete does not get hurt and we win.

Somebody that knows...
1. Can we financially cut Winky after the second week?
2. What 4yr Vet or more is out there unsigned? (besides Lewis or Craig)
3. What possible trade could we work?

If possible just answer the questions... not looking for a we want do it because he is our QB of the future answer.

 

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. Pouty attitude included, he's not likely going anywhere until next season.

See other threads throughout the last 3 years... I've never really been against Bline in an assumed back up role.

 

1. Yes. He doesn't have a great load of bonus money.
2. Jeff George. Mark Rypein. Did you say something about cancer?

Anthony Wright. He's better than Q. Carter, really.

3. Player for player trades are rare. We might get a 6th rounder from Holmgren.

Although I agree that Weinke's demeanor are not helping him get back on top, and might turn the team against him, we will keep him. I don't see us being that impatient. I do think the QB coach needs to have a loonnnggg talk with him about what it's going to take for him to rescue his career.

 

Why else do you think I even said it?!?!?
