OK... I'm thinking about a wide angle lens. Is this a good decision for a second lens?

    Any suggestions?

Big Mark and Julia do not have any used ones for sale. ;)

But I'm SURE they can direct you where to go when they get in here....

    And of course, LarryD.

I shouldn't have said that, it was extremely selfish of me.

They might ...but I swear I will cry and pout and cut such a shine that you will drive them to my house if you end up with them.

    I kid. ;)

    Yeah, I can't spring $700 on a lens.

The Sigma 10-20mm gets good reviews too (not as good as the Canon, but still overall positive). I've never used one though so I can't vouch for it personally.

Take it or leave it but my advice is as follows...

Don't buy a cheap lens. Even though you mat want to diversify your arsenal, you'll probably end up wasting your money. Cheap lenses can do the trick, but as you get more comfortable with your new toy, you'll want much better quality glass because you'll start to notice the limitations of the cheaper lens. I always figure why even spend $200-$300 on a cheap piece of equipment when you can wait and save and get high quality.

Right now, I have a bag full of lenses that don't suit my tastes anymore... wishing I had $3500 to get my dream 3. One day, oh one fine day, I will!
