OK, time to go after the wimps in the league office:

    NFL fines Cooper for block

Carolina Panthers safety Jarrod Cooper, one of the team's top special teams players, has been fined again by the NFL for a block in the back during Sunday's game with Arizona.

There was no penalty called on the play, but the league reviews tape of plays called into question by teams.

It is Cooper's seventh fine, and is believed to be $15,000. Cooper, who confirmed that the amount was more than $10,000, received a letter from the NFL informing him of the penalty.

"Basically, they said that `You're too mean' " he said. "I'm not breaking any rules. I'm not getting penalties thrown on me. I'm not a bad sport. I'm not out there trying to hurt people. For some reason or another, they keep coming to get me."

As a second-year player, Cooper makes $298,000 annually, so the fine is a significant hit.

"I'm giving out free samples of Jarrod Cooper for a while," he said. "We all don't make the same money in here, and I'm at the bottom of the barrel there.

"It just keeps getting to be more and more; it escalates every time."

    "Too mean." HehHehHeh.

the Panthers should offer to pay it... one that would make Cooper easier to sign at the end of the year for their vote of confidence, and 2 it would show they stand with him... since he really did nothing worg.
