    Not true...

THE NFL ON CBS's PRIMARY GAME (emphasis added) broadcast in digital television's highest definition format, 1080i, also will be made available to subscribers of DIRECTV's exclusive NFL SUNDAY TICKETTM package throughout the 17-week regular-season schedule. Both over the air and DIRECTV customers must have appropriate HD-enabled equipment to be able to view the games. The HD games will be regionalized on the CBS Television Network, but on NFL SUNDAY TICKETTM will be subject to the NFL's hometown blackout rule only when the hometown stadium is not sold out. The designation of the HD game will be determined on a week-to-week basis. These games are being offered as part of a five-year agreement with the National Football League for exclusive rights to NFL SUNDAY TICKETTM. The agreement between CBS and DIRECTV is for the 2003 regular-season only and will be evaluated for renewal after the 2003 season.

True, but all Post Season games are on National TV. And if you get local channels on DTV, then you would definitely see all the Post Season games on DTV.

No argument intended, but we have Directv (no Sun. ticket, don't need it) and a lot of the games have been "blacked out" on the Fox channels and the "local" channels. For instance, the Giants are on MSG, their preseason games are "blacked out" down here (meaning SC); FXSS, the Falcons games are "blacked out"; the Fox channel up near Baltimore, the Ravens are "blacked out". See what I'm saying? That's why I made that comment.

We don't get any of the "extra" channels like NBA or Sun. Ticket, just the sports channels like Fox, MSG, Empire, etc. I know if you don't subscribe to MLB Extra Innings, you don't get the out of region games. That's what I was basing my remarks on.

I thought this as well, but it's not the locals that are needed. Those are on basic cable or antenna. It's the east and west network feeds that show the games and DirecTv wants $2 a pop. That's 8 extra dollars per month to catch preseason. I passed.

I guess I misunderstood your post. I thought you said NFL Sunday Ticket had the preseason games. Humble apologies.
