I never thought I would say this....

Of course a team in the lead is going to have more free throw opportunities than a team behind that is just common sense which you dont appear to have. A team behind fouls to try to catch up. Rebounds gave MD the lead.

 

no shit , I think the point Larry and myself were making was the fact of the FT %.

sly please stop now, but at least part of your last post made since as to the amount of FTs.

 

WE hit all our free throws and we still don't win. We get 10 more rebounds and we might. That is where we got slaughtered.

 

pretty smart on your part uncfever to say that sly is using a copout saying that duke only lost cuz they couldn't rebound, yet saying wake lost to duke because they were off that night. Yes, you are a dumbass if you don't think duke dominated wake. Much like maryland dominated duke today. Duke got caught on something they did against davidson. Overcommiting on switches off double teams. The thing is, Maryland is gonna capitalize alot better on that because they are a better team. That lead to alot of easy baskets and assists, combined with foul shots whenever casey sanders or horvath were "patrolling" the lanes.

I guess carolina fans start every post on these board these days, except for when they lose. So, i guess we'll see you guys after duke's next loss, cuz it sure as hell won't be after you play uconn. Unless there's an excuse thread started. I enjoy those almost as much as i enjoy the gridfaniker/shrapnel chapters in rant and rave.

 

rebounding was key, i agree (that one md. guy got 17 alone) but if you hit all of your free throws and maryland just hits their average, you win.

 

If you would have made the FT's along the way during the whole game it would have changed the way you had to play the game. Of course if you would have made the FT's that would have cut down on a lot of the rebounds that Maryland got as well. You know rebounds off of missed FT's.

Oh damn, wydd, are you and sly one in the same. Please go read the stat lines on both games if you can. MD beat dook in all the stats for this game, but I don't recall dook doing the same against Wake. So to say that both of these games are the same is just plain wrong no matter who you pull for.

 

md did win the stats game, but they were close everywhere but FT (% and taken) and rebounding.

i'm just wondering how it happened.
