My father bought a truck out of FLA that has XM in it. I think he's gonna keep the subscription, because he loves it too much.

    i got mine for christmas.

i listen to something new each day.

one day it was classical -- "the greatest hits from the pas 1,000 years"

one day it was jazz on "watercolors".

    one day it was opera.

i keep going back to the BBC radio, though. they are reading chapters from the new book "pompeii" -- it's so awesome.

i can't imagine not having it.

The car I'm looking at comes with one of these. Whats the cost? It does look really tight.

Don't know. I'm sure that info is readily available, at least subscription costs. I'm sure a quick search would do it.

I'd really love it, if I didn't have an extensive amount of mix CDs I've made (~40) and roughly 130 live music shows. I enjoy listening to the radio on shorter trips, which right now work is a short trip and so's everything else, and a good CD gets me most of the way to Charlotte or Raleigh or Statesville. If I had a long commute every day, it'd be worth it for me, or if I listened to it in both the car and work.

it also has tons of news and sports channels.

    fox sports
    sporting news radio
    espn radio
    espn news
    nascar radio

    cnn
    cnn headline news
    abc news
    msnbc
    bbc
    bloomberg news
    cnbc
    cspan

hell, its almost worth it for 24 hours of uncensored comedy

for silver, there's a premium channel -- playboy radio.

like i said before... XM is a must. When I fly and rent cars, I rent only cars w/ XM radio. Go to Circuit City and buy one.

I listen to ESPN and FOX Sports, Comedy Channel (tons of Richard Pryor), Old School Rap, Deep Tracks, and That hippy music channel.

One thing- don't subscribe to Playboy radio. It is horrendous.
