We may pick up a DB with our first pick. If you think about how we lost several games in the closing minutes, if I recall it was due to our secondary giving up both some deep balls and other...

Sure our offense needs some work, but I think "most" of those issues can be resolved in free agency. So lets grab that DB with our first pick.

Not sure about an OT at pick #9 but I guess if the DBs are not good enough... then so be it. Also not sure I would put Leftwich at #1 pick?

I think Andre Johnson will be gone by 9.

IMO, they needed to score points...there were no playmakers on offense. Either get a top RB or WR at 9 or trade down.

Yeah, we'd be lucky to see Andre fall like that.

There's already been talk about DBs on here, and my thoughts are the same. Trufant is interesting, though not currently rated taht high, he is rising, and impressed at the Senior Bowl. He's got a few more mearuables than Newman, who is just as good a cover corner, if not more, just small. Both are first rounders.

I'd like to see a good trade down partner for someone who needed one of these defensive lineman real bad.

I'd rate tackle as a bigger need, but one better served by Free Agency. It looks to be a good tackle market, could get stronger with cuts. Harris I'm warming too, but I'd like Linclon Kennedy oh so much more.

    >>We may pick up a DB with our first pick.

Translation - Sandy wants to suggest other alternatives so he can campaign against a QB in the first. It doesn't matter who the DBs are at 9, just as long as none of them can throw.

Trufant is a good pick at 9. The top two receivers and QBs won't be there. And we do need to come up with more turnovers at CB. So it's justifiable, but only because a worthy player is there.
But you don't know anything about Marcus. Might be a good idea to learn.

    >>Not sure about an OT at pick #9 but I guess if the DBs are not good enough... then so be it.

Way too many needs to pick a non-dominant line player top ten. Way too many. OT's not the biggest need, impact is, and offensive linemen as a group are worth one skill player in impact. One of that five's not going to impact anything.

    >>Also not sure I would put Leftwich at #1 pick?

I'm shocked. A guy many of us would trade up for and most everyone would love to have at 9 isn't worthy to you. :D

Why do you do that shit? First stupid remark in this thread... I don't need you to translate. Your such an ass sometimes. I mean why must you continue to troll me?

I'm past the QB deal. I've already said my peace that I don't want one with our first pick. You campaign for what you want, we all do... just leave it.

You might not like that I said it, but it only makes sense to know anything at all about a player you're advocating. You can be dramatic as you want, but you will be anyway.

that really hurts coming from someone who's defensive and looking for someone to spite. :D

don't post about anything other than football in this thread, please. I don't care if you don't like the idea that I point out that every time anyone suggests first round QB, you get in a tizzy and have to tell them why they're wrong unconditionally. You had no problem doing it, and I have no problem commenting on it. I'm not responsible for your emotional baggage.

Now if you have anything to say about Marcus Trufant, or Terrance Newman, or Andre Woolfork, or Dennis Weathersby, that'd be great.
