    but could you invision Steve Mariucci as our OC? I know he is getting paid 2.2 mil next year and doesn't need the aggrevation. But getting paid by the Niners to help the Panthers and getting rid of Henning.... Different philosophys... personell...

    does he get the 2.2 mil if he coaches? I think he gets it if he broadcasts but not if he coaches...I may be wrong.

    The Niners are obligated to pay the 2.2. If he were to coach this year the Niners would have to pay the difference of what the new team pays him up to the 2.2 total. Like when Capers went to Jax as their def coordinator, the Panthers paid the difference from what he made from Jax up to what he would have made with the Panthers had he not gotten fired. So he really has no need to coach as the check will come in regardless
