    this is interesting to me. I don't really get involved in much debate here, but I do read this forum and the politics forum pretty regularly.

    It seems like there are clear "sides" in both forums, pubs vs dems in politics and atheists vs christians (for the most part) in religion... What I find interesting is that the people I agree with in one forum are the opposite of the people I agree with in the other.

    I'm not really sure I have a point to make here, but it's just got me thinking.

    Thinking is a good thing, especially when it comes to faith and politics. :grin:

    I'm seeing alot of formerly conservative christians changing to a more liberal christianity. For some the pendulum swing has been fast and sharp - almost as if they've been watching too much MSNBC. For others, they seem to apply Jesus teaching on "go the extra mile" and "turn the other cheek" to areas that I don't think it applies. Others still seem to be strongly rejecting a perceived quest for political power by some evangelicals.
