    There old stuff had NO singles. Ride the Lightning, Kill em All, Master of Puppets...

    I like it. I don't like the snare sound, but the lyrics and vibe are cool. If you got into Metallica because of Black, Load, or ReLoad, you'll hate it. This is pure HATE metal. Angry and pissed.

    By the way, the DVD sounds much better than the CD. The drums aren't as tinny.

    I really dont like new metal. The vocals are terrible, usually just some guy screaming like a caveman with PMS. Hetfield still has a good voice and his vocals are ok but I do not like the song very much and the backing vocals are annoying. It just does not have the same melodic quality of their other stuff. I guess maybe that was their intention though.

    I know they didn't have any singles way back when... I loved Master of Puppets. I haven't heard St. Anger, just saying what I heard about it.

    Me too... while I was on vacation. I was thinking of Luther Vandross and his health problems. I had bought probably the first 4-5 things he put out since the beginning.

    I was feeling a little guilty since anything he has done in the last 3 years I have not paid for... so I buy his latest...

    some good tunes on there, except for a few remakes I did not like.

    I bought two cds off of half.com a coupla weeks ago; by a hot tenor sax player, named Eric Alexander. The only time that I buy cds is when someone interests me, tremendously. Otherwise, I'm content with listening to the "same ole shit." Actually I hear something different everytime I listen to my "same ole shit.";)
