    maybe so. while i find many more who like the yankees, i also find many more who hate the yankees. far less who hate the braves. based on that, i say the braves are america's team.

    when TT inundated the american airways with the fucking braves he was cpoying the model built by steinbrenner.

    the yankees have inspired more players and fans than anyother team, if nothing else then they have been the nemisis to so many teams for so many years. yankee haters are filled with envy.

    how many pennants do the braves have in the last 20 years?

    The reason the Yankees are America's Team is because either you love them or hate them and they have been very successful. This was the same logic with the Dallas Cowboys as America's Team. Now I hate the Cowboys with a passion but I understand why they were considered America's Team.

    The Yankees have the best home and road attendence in the league, mainly because they are the most popular team to see for or against, thus being America's Team.
