Well, there was promise in this game. We made it respectable even though they played awesome and we didn't. Grant had some nice minutes. Sanders makes everyone look bad. He is truly pathetic.

OK last time. Byron for Casey, and we'll even throw in the red headed kid.:) :D :p :(

gutter, i as a duke fan, would take that trade. Having actually witnessed the greatness that IS casey sanders in person, i can attest that he is terrible. We singled him out last year at the davidson game and he has absolutely no clue about basketball. As well as just overall being terrible. Sanders was lost on defense, offense, the bench, i think he ended up using the bathroom in the upper level during the break just because he couldn't find the locker room.

You remember The Lock Ness Monster Martin Nessley? I think that was it. Anyway, Saunders is no Lock Ness Monster.

well hell - it doesn't pay to stay up late - I fell asleep on the damn couch near the end - but dats okay cause I knew the Heels weren't going to pull it out.

They did look much better in the 2nd half tho. My observations are that :

Grant is going to be a good player if he can get his knees right and watch his weight. The boys got skills and is a load. A good back up for the bench.

Manuel's game keeps looking better - a little adventurous with the ball- but damn if he doesn't look good slashing to the hoop and his defense has always been good.

McCants is a damn born leader. He is already the heart and soul of this team. He started the 2nd half on a mission and fueled the Heels comeback.

Sanders - gutter why you want to hate on this kid? Most years a freshman like this would be puling scrub minutes - but with May out - Grant hobbling and no other options - I think he's doing good.

Would you really trade his raw freshman talents for Casey "I'ma Senior Now" Sanders who still has no clue how to play and scores only because he can run the court? no way sorry diddy but dook is stuck with him
as a matter of fact I wouldn't trade Byron Sanders for Casey AND Horvath.

Jawad Williams - disappointing after a strong start. Still too small to play inside and too inconsistent to play outside.

Felton - He's a helluva good point guard - best the Heel's have had in years - but it is laughable to think that last year Heel's were agonizing and dookies were gloating that he would go pro after a year. He's good but looks like a four year player to me.

Which is all good - because I think this group of Heels are just what they need to make a great college basketball team - all with good skills - but no NBA bound superstars - Imagine how good this team will be in two years when Manuel and Williams are seniors.

The Heels and Doherty are going to do just fine.

I just want to know wtf Doh is doing. How many times in this game did he pull out a player who was hot? He must have a sub pattern written down and the hell with who's hot and who's not.

Not to mention the one kid from VA makes 5 threes before Doh puts Manuel on him and then take Manuel off him in the 2nd half and the kid hits 2 more.

We miss May for sure, but I for one am getting tired of Doh.

oh comeon wossa, most weren't speculative about felton except for heels fans. I was speculative to the hype of the wonder twins going pro, but hell, they aren't even going to the heel now.

What about will johnson and your best waterboy for sanders?
