    I think it's been discussed here before.... or somewhere.

    As I was taught, God sees all sin as sin and there are no degrees.

    That's a hard pill to swallow for me, but it's what I was taught, and I don't know the scripture to support it.

    All sin is equal in that any sin is enough to separate you from God. As to whether there are different degrees of hell for those who commit more terrible crimes than others, I don't know. But in a spiritual sense, it's really a moot point. Even the most lenient level of hell is still hell.
