Just go ahead and lock this one too HB. This thread is even more pitiful than the reponse from Angie I called pitiful earlier.

No, I think I'll let this stand. I appreciate the apology being offered and accepted, and that cooler heads are prevailing. That's a good thing. :xyzthumbs

Angie, I appreciate your making the effort to apologize to Trace; but I don't think you understand why your posts have been so offensive to Trace & to others at whom you've directed your comments.

My guess (& it is a guess) is that you search other people's posts less to "understand their hearts" than to find arguing points for your own views & justify the attitude you express in your posts. Whether you intend it or not, you come across as condescending & self-righteous rather than instructive. Criticism can be contructive; yours is not. I find it to be directed at people, not issues.

The fact that some of it is cloaked in polite terms (more or less) doesn't make your words less offensive. In fact, as a born-&-raised southerner, the polite insult is deeply ingrained in me, & I know both when I do it & when I receive it. A lot of people do it unconsciously.

Bless her heart, coming from my grandmother, made you realize not only that you or your actions were scum, but that she pitied you for them. She was good and as genuine a Christian woman as she knew how to be.

If someone is posting an opinion on R&S, I want to know where they are coming from spiritually.. You have made no attempt to hide who you are, a "pagan" as you have referred to your spirituality. If the person posting is not a christian, that helps me understand where they are coming from in their point of view.

But I will seriously take your criticism as constructive, and take it into consideration. Thank you.

You're welcome. I'm glad you're taking it in the spirit in which I intended it. :)
